I am a landscape painter, working in oils and watercolours. My inspiration is the beauty of the British Isles. I live in Surrey and often use the surrounding Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding beauty, as subject matter. I also travel frequently to Dorset to paint the coastal scenery. I usually prepare quick sketches on site in the open air. Sometimes I refine the sketches in the studio, sometimes I leave them as they are.
